About Walt Disney World Marathon Weekend 2027
Walt Disney World Marathon Weekend is runDisney’s flagship January event in the Orlando area. For 2027 the Half Marathon runs on Saturday 9 January and the Marathon on Sunday 10 January, so the weekend works for runners targeting one distance and for those taking on both.
That back-to-back structure is what makes this race different to plan. Runners doing both distances need two early race mornings, recovery time between them and food they can rely on, all inside a resort area that also handles a full theme-park crowd. Runners doing one race still have to time expo pickup, rest days and park days so their legs aren’t spent before the start.
