Miami Marathon & Half Marathon 2027Race-week travel for runners with a bib
Sold out for 2027. If you are one of the runners who got in, we will build race week around your entry so all that’s left is the early start and the causeways.
About Miami Marathon & Half 2027
The Life Time Miami Marathon and Half Marathon take place together on Sunday 31 January 2027. Both distances were sold out with the waitlist closed at our last check, so this page is for runners who already hold an entry.
Miami is a pre-dawn race. In recent editions both distances started downtown near the Kaseya Center at around 6:00 a.m., crossed the causeways to Miami Beach and came back to finish at Bayfront Park. An early start in a warm climate makes the night before and the wake-up just as important as the taper.
The race draws a large international field, and the organizer runs its own official travel packages, a sign of how many runners travel for this weekend. Visterra Runs is independent from those packages. We work with runners who already have their entry and want race week built around performance: a stay that makes the downtown start easy, arrival timing that protects sleep, and bilingual support on WhatsApp.

Race week in Miami: what to plan for
Build around a pre-dawn start
With early start times in recent editions, our recommendation is a downtown base and a fixed wake-up plan so race morning isn’t a commute.
Visterra recommendationHeat and humidity
Late January in Miami can still feel warm for runners coming from colder places. Plan hydration and pacing with your coach; we keep the travel side from adding to it.
Visterra recommendationExpo and companions
We fit bib pickup into your arrival and help spectators plan where to be, so the runner isn’t coordinating on the morning.
Visterra recommendationVisterra recommendations, not organizer rules.
