Standard Chartered Hong Kong Marathon 2027Race-week travel for runners with an entry
Bridges, tunnels and a dense city. Hong Kong rewards runners who arrive organized. If you secured an entry, we will build race week around it.
About Hong Kong Marathon 2027
The Standard Chartered Hong Kong Marathon takes place on Sunday 17 January 2027. The general ballot was closed at our last check, so this page is for runners who already hold an entry or have secured one through an official channel.
Hong Kong is not a flat city race. In recent editions the marathon started on Nathan Road in Tsim Sha Tsui, crossed major bridges, ran through harbour tunnels and finished at Victoria Park on Hong Kong Island. Bridges and tunnels add climbs, and runners consistently describe the course as one that demands careful pacing.
For travelling runners the planning starts long before race morning. A long-haul arrival, a start and finish on opposite sides of the harbour, and the city’s density all make it worth deciding early where you stay and how you move. Visterra Runs organizes that around your entry.
