Málaga Half Marathon 2027.Your race. Your week.

You've done the months of training. We take care of everything around it, so you arrive in Málaga with fewer decisions to make and more energy for race day.

One piece or the whole week. Same care either way.

How we think about race travel

PROTECT THE WORK.

  • Protect the training.
  • Protect your focus.
  • Protect your time.

You trained for months. But a destination race doesn't start at the start line. First come the flights, the connections, the hotel check-ins, the transfers, a lot of walking and a hundred small decisions. We clear the noise around race week, so you've got more energy and a clearer head when it counts.

Months of training can run straight into a long travel day, a tight connection, a bad night's sleep and a pile of last-minute decisions.

We can't run the race for you. We can help you get to the start line with a lot less noise around you.

JUST RUN.

When race day comes, your only job is to run. We take care of whatever you decide to leave with us.

How you want to travel

You decide how much you hand off

The work is done: you did it in training. Our job is making sure nothing around the race eats into it. No flight puzzles, no hotel guesswork, no pile of small decisions the week you need a clear head. Behind your trip there's a real person who knows your plan. Technology makes us faster, but it's that person who answers for your experience.

I already have my entry

You've got your spot in Málaga. Now we design around you: human support, technology and the services you actually need to show up ready for race week.

Design the rest of my trip

I already have part of it covered

You've handled part of the trip already. We bring human judgment, technology and experience to fill the gaps and make it all work around your race. And we won't make you buy again what you already have.

Fill in what's missing

Same care for all three. The scope changes, not the standard.

First race away from home?

We'll help you work out what matters before you even know what to ask: when to arrive, where to stay, how the expo works, how to get to the start and what to do once you finish.

Race week, mapped out

Before you lock it in, let's walk through it

Even with the flights and the hotel booked, gaps tend to show up late. These are the five parts of race week we go through with you.

Arrive readyFlights, arrival, connections, transfers, rest

We look at flight options and schedules, work through the connections and help you pick when to land. If you want us to book the flights, we do that too. Airfare is quoted separately.

Transfers are lined up around your arrival, and rest is part of the plan, so jet lag costs you as little as possible.

Ready to raceCoach, pacing, nutrition, fueling, gear, race-day plan

We connect you with coaches and nutrition pros to dial in your pacing, your fueling and your race-day plan for the Málaga Half Marathon. It's built into how you get ready for race week, from day one.

Recover wellMobility, massage, recovery, after the finish

Mobility work before the race, massage and recovery after it, so the days after Málaga are ones you enjoy, not ones you limp through.

Your people matter tooYour people are part of race week too.

Lodging and transfers, good spots to see you on the course, how to get around that day, a meeting point, things to do while you rest, support shirts and signs, and plans for the family.

Keep the memoryPhotos of you, your partner or your family

We can arrange photographers for race week: before the start, around the city, at the moments that matter and after the finish.

Whatever you've already booked stays exactly as it is. We design your race week around it and complete what's still missing.

Málaga

Before race day, we protect your legs. After the finish, Málaga is yours.

Runners at the Málaga Half Marathon

Málaga is sun, sea and old streets in one compact city, with the Mediterranean a short walk from the finish.

Before race day

Energy first.

Light plans, good food, plenty of rest and logistics that don't wear you down. Plans for whoever's traveling with you, too.

After the finish

Now it's Málaga's turn.

After the finish, walk up to the Alcazaba, have tapas in the old town and spend the afternoon on La Malagueta beach. With extra days, Granada and Ronda are within reach.

Traveling solo doesn't have to mean doing race week alone. If you want community built into your week, we can help you find local runs, shakeouts, or meetups when available.

CelebrateExploreRecoverKeep traveling

And you decide how to spend both.

Your Race Week Designer

Talk to someone who gets race week.

Your Race Week Designer is your ally from the first message to race day. They get what this race means to you, and they bring human judgment, technology and endurance experience to protect all the work that got you here.

We believe in what you're taking on, because we know what it takes to get to the start line.

You don't have to answer anything. You can also just write to us. We start with your race: what you've already sorted, what you want to protect. From there we work out what your race week really needs, and build the plan around that.

Questions about traveling to the Málaga Half Marathon

Do you offer Málaga Half Marathon travel packages?

Yes. We build Málaga Half Marathon travel packages around your race week. You can have us handle the full trip or only the pieces you still need, including lodging, transfers, flights, recovery, companion planning and more.

When should I get to Málaga?

It depends on your flight and how much the time change hits you. As a general rule (not an organizer rule), give yourself room for a couple of good nights of sleep before race day. We'll help you figure it out based on your itinerary.

Where should I stay for the Málaga Half Marathon?

We look for a hotel with an easy trip to the start and the expo, based on where the Málaga Half Marathon starts. We confirm the options in writing before you commit.

How do the expo and bib pickup work?

We walk you through the organizer's rules and plan your visit so you don't burn time or energy. The current rules are posted on the race's official website.

How do I get to the start?

We build a timeline from your hotel to the start line, around the race-day transport and road closures the organizer announces.

Can you help with flights?

Yes. We can advise you, compare schedules, work through connections and, if you want, book your flights. Airfare is quoted separately.

I already have part of my trip sorted, like a hotel on points or a flight on miles. Can you handle the rest?

Yes. We start from what you've already arranged and build the rest of your race week around it, with nothing paid for twice. Transfers, recovery, coaching, support for whoever travels with you: you choose where we step in.

Can you connect me with a coach or a nutrition pro?

Yes. We work with qualified coaches and nutrition professionals, plus mobility, massage and recovery support. We add them to your proposal only if you want them.

Can I bring my partner or family?

Of course. We plan lodging, transfers, places to watch you on the course, meeting points and things to do for the people traveling with you.

This is my first race away from home. Where do I start?

Write to us with whatever you know. We'll walk you through the questions that matter: when to arrive, where to stay, the expo, getting to the start, getting around, your partner or family, recovery and food.

How much does it cost, and how do I book?

We don't list a set price because every trip is built around you, and you'll see the full quote before you commit. Once we confirm availability, you can reserve your trip with a US$599 deposit. It goes toward your total. Payment plans are available.

What if I need to cancel?

You can cancel within 24 hours of booking for a full refund of your deposit. After that, cancellation terms depend on your reservation and the suppliers involved. See our full cancellation policy for details.

About this race

About Málaga Half Marathon 2027

The Málaga Half Marathon (Media Maratón Ciudad de Málaga) takes place on Sunday, March 7, 2027.

It is a flat half along the Mediterranean. In recent editions the race started and finished at the Paseo del Parque, ran out toward the port and the lighthouse on the Paseo de la Farola, and came back along La Malagueta beach. Early March in Málaga is usually mild, which suits a race effort.

For many traveling runners, Málaga is both a race and a few days on the Costa del Sol. Visterra Runs plans the trip so race morning comes first: a stay suited to the start area, airport transfers, and ES/EN/PT/FR support throughout the week.

Key facts

  • Race date: Sunday, March 7, 2027.
  • In recent editions the race started and finished at the Paseo del Parque, in the Parque de Málaga.
  • Recent editions followed the coast toward the port and the lighthouse on the Paseo de la Farola, then returned along La Malagueta beach.
  • Málaga is served by Málaga–Costa del Sol Airport, with many direct flights from across Europe.

Plan your race week

Race week in Málaga: what to plan for

Flat and coastal

The course follows the seafront on long, mostly flat stretches, so a PR attempt is realistic. Sea wind can matter on the way back: check the forecast with your coach and plan pacing around it.

Stay near the Paseo del Parque

Recent editions started and finished in the Parque de Málaga, so a stay in the center keeps race morning simple. We confirm walking distance and timing before you book.

Expo and bib pickup

In recent editions, bib pickup took place at the Málaga Stadium on the Friday and Saturday before the race. We fit it into your first day so the day before stays free.
